Energy sector policy to be implemented in two stages
The draft law regarding state policy in the energy sector was discussed during yesterday’s government session and will soon be presented for approval by Parliament. The measures will be implemented in two stages from 2015 through 2023 and 2024 to 2030.
Draft law initiators point out that during the last few years, following the rapid development of the economy, legal changes to the investment environment, and the active interest of foreign and trade investors wishing to invest in the energy sector have created the necessity to refine legislation of the sector and to improve policy documents.
The draft law on state policy has determined three priority issues to be adhered to, six strategic purposes, and 26 objectives considering the present state of the energy sector, the difficulties it faces, and available opportunities for development.
