Forum held on Mongolia-Japan EPA on agriculture

A forum to promote and introduce the Mongolian and Japanese economic partnership agreement (EPA) to entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector will be organized tomorrow at Chinggis Hotel.

The purpose of the forum is to increase revenue from the export of agricultural products, draw investment to the sector, and to increase the trade of value added products.

Issues indicated in the agreement will be discussed, such as the minimization of barriers faced in the tariff and non-tariff issues of Japan, facilitating trade, and resolving customs clearance issues.

In addition to the goals of attracting investment, the forum also focused on introducing Japanese standards, advanced technology, and measures to produce organic products for export to the Japanese market.
